SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTING We determine the goals and scope of the project in concert with our client. We provide guidance through both the design and build processes by defining a standard for implementing sustainability and green building practices to create a beautiful, healthy and efficient home or work environment.
Some of these practices include:
• Selection of Environmentally Healthy Materials
LEED LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a third-party rating system for green building created by the United States Green Building Council. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor air quality. The rating system is specific to the type of project being worked on. Some of the specific programs are LEED-New Construction, LEED-Existing Buildings, LEED-Commercial Interiors and LEED-Homes. The rating systems are broken down into points for each type of credit. Certification levels within the systems are:
• First Level (minimum points): Certified
As a LEED-accredited professional, I guide owners, contractors, designers and developers through the LEED certification • Analyzing the needs of the project
